  1. Board Rules

    Board Rights and Rules...it's more like guidelines anyway I am not the person who wants to control everything. Really not. I am shy and tolerant to everyone. But the time has shown me, there must be some rules...I write how it SHOULD be...and I will be tolerant if the majority means, it should be different.
    Please read them carefully!

    1. since this is a board for the whole world, the main language spoken here should be English. And I mean an International English, which everyone, who can speak the "dictionary-English" can understand - no slang and NO CHAT LANGUAGE (like omg u 2 rulz) ! If you write OMG, it is of course OK, but I saw sites in English I didn't understand anything 8o
    Of course it is completely OK, if you see a pic of Johnny and write sort of "wow" in your language, but please do not discuss over more than two posts in another language.

    2. please name your threads what they are about. No "Look at this!" "News!" and "OMG" and "Question" - name them "Pics from 1999" or "Johnny got an Oscar" or "What's Johnny's favorite color"...so that you can see what they are about. Please look if topics are already there and post there instead of opening a second one. Questions about a movie come into the movie's thread. Use not only CAPS for thread titles!

    3. do not post twice in a short time in one thread - if nobody answered yet and you forgot something, please use the edit button. Please do not open threads, which already exist. We have a search function here in the board, maybe it was already discussed. If it happens - no problem - we can put two threads together.
    If you open a thread in a wrong board - don't open a second one. We have moderators who can push the thread into the correct board. Just write them an email, pm or hit the "report" button at the bottom right of your posts.

    4. Avatars can be 150x150 pixels big and 100KB.
    They do not have to be of Johnny. I saw this rule in other boards. You can put...*thinking* Brad Pitt...on it, if you like him more, it is your decision. Everyone knows, there are other good looking men out there (OK, in this case Brad Pitt was a bad example :P), so why not show them? Johnny is already in the header...and my head :D

    5. Signatures - please do not make them altogether higher than...at about 200 pixels (pics AND text together),
    I saw some boards, where they had more than two browser windows high signatures...
    The signature should just be visible as "oh, that's the signature and that's the post". And I have to say a number, so I say 200 pixels.
    The good thing here: Pics ARE allowed. Be nice to modem users, and don't put 1MB gifs in there, but everything else is your decision.
    And more important than the height is the width - please stay under 530 pixels, because the site will follow your pic, if it is 1000px and be nearly unreadable.

    6. Please do not be TOO offtopic in the Johnny Depp boards. One post - OK, two posts - as well OK, but then you should go to the offtopic subboard with it. And please do not make posts just to say "as she said" or "you're right". Make sure you have CONTENT in your posts. Of course, OMGs are allowed, but see, that at least the bigger part of your posts has content.

    7. You can add an attachment to your post, so that you can post much faster and don't need to open your photobucket first. Please use this function carefully and look, if the same pic was already added. I have a lot of webspace, but not unlimited. Don't attach pics to every post just cause it is possible!

    8. Please do not post pics of Johnny's kids! This is a board in which we want to show our LOVE to Johnny, so please - he hates if someone has pics of his children - accept his wishes. Post any pics you like...from Private Resort, Paparazzi he certainly doesn't like as well, but NO KIDS PICS. Also, please do not post pics of "g.etty images or w.ire images, as we might get legal problems.

    9. feel free to write MUCH - reviews for movies, anything you like: in this board nothing which has real content will be deleted. Never (just things like old TV tips, threads discussing a website not existing anymore and so on). Plus the database will be backuped every month.

    10. Please do not hotlink other fansites, if you didn't ask the owner if you are allowed to direct link him. F.e. you ARE allowed to hotlink every pic you can find on my site johnny-depp.org, but only here.

    12. The different font color is for stressing single words or maybe a sentence in many. It is NOT for writing all your posts in completely in the color. The same goes for the different font families and the size.

    13. be nice...:D and don't laugh at those who are not that good in speaking English and may make some mistakes.
